Catalyst Church began in early 2009 with small group gatherings focused on building a Launch Team. As momentum grew, we held our first Preview Service in October of that year, followed by monthly services leading up to our official launch in February 2010.
In those early days, we met in homes for launch meetings and small groups before securing our first gathering space at Maple Ridge Elementary. After a couple of years, we moved to the Middle School, then later to a location on Highway 67 in north Pendleton. In January 2019, we found our permanent home, where we continue to grow and serve today.
The church started with a dedicated Launch Team of about eight families, eventually growing to 40 adults—enough to begin holding services. During our first year, we averaged around 70 people (adults and kids) each Sunday. Today, we welcome an average of 400 attendees each week, with approximately 550 people considering Catalyst their home church.
